About

Connect

In the fall of 2024, I had the privilege of witnessing something truly beautiful—a mama and her two little ones at golden hour, nursing in a vintage clawfoot tub set in a field. Surrounded by fellow photographers, we were united in awe: her posture so natural, her presence so calm, her connection so deep. It was a magical moment that reminded everyone of the power and intimacy of breastfeeding in motherhood.

Mother to Mother

I felt that beauty deeply—because while I longed to nurse my babies in that same gentle, effortless way, it wasn’t part of my journey. I worked with a lactation consultant for seven months, experimented with every trick in the book (including triple feeding, iykyk), cut supplements, tried dietary changes… I wanted it. With my second, I chose mental health over the struggle, and while it was the right decision, it still carried disappointment.

That’s why when a mama tells me she wants to include breastfeeding photos, it means a lot. I know how personal that choice is, and how emotional feeding can be—for all kinds of reasons. I’m always honored to document that part of your story, and I’ll approach it with care and respect.

Why It Matters

It celebrates her body and soul—the human body working in such a powerful, life-giving way.

It normalizes feeding—removing stigma and reminding us that feeding is fundamental, not shameful.

It’s a loving keepsake—a reminder of tenderness, connection and the fleeting early days.

Talking About Breastfeeding Photos: What You Need to Know

Not everyone wants breastfeeding documented—and that’s absolutely okay. But if it is on your heart, here’s how to bring it up gently and confidently:

Mention it early (even if softly): You might include a line on your newborn or family questionnaire: “I’d love breastfeeding imagery if the moment feels right.”

Share context: Let me know if you’re working with a consultant, navigating formula/bottle-feeding or dealing with any anxiety around feeding. That gives me insight and empathy.

Set your comfort level: Want covered up? Naked shoulders? A bottle in hand? I’ll honor all your boundaries.

Prep for natural moments: Best time is when baby is nursing well—typically 2‑4 months in, before they get distractible.

Know your ownership: You control what happens—how it’s shared, who sees it. I can hide images you want private, limit gallery access or never post them online.

What to Expect from Me

Ease: No pressure. We don’t have to plan nursing precisely—I’ll let the moments come.

Respect: I’m here to support you, to honor your comfort and your baby’s.

Creativity: Whether at home or outside (yes, golden hour in a field is fun!), I’ll thoughtfully capture your story—with your permission.

Final Thoughts

Breastfeeding photography is about connection, comfort and a moment that often feels ordinary—but is anything but. Whether it’s a quiet moment during a family session or part of your newborn story, I’m here to hold space for it with tenderness and intention.

If it matters to you, it matters to me—and I’d be honored to document it. I invite you to head over to my booking inquiry form if you’re considering this, shoot me a general message and we can chat about what feels right for you.
