The Importance of Choosing a Newborn Photographer That Fits Your Family There’s no shortage of talented newborn photographers in Atlanta. I’d argue there are so many of us that it can feel overwhelming for an expecting mom to decide who to hire.  How do you choose a newborn photographer that’s right for you? Do you […]

Atlanta motherhood photographer reflects on a tender minisession at Evermore Studio Every now and then, I feel the tug to make room for families who want something simpler, shorter, or more accessible than my usual offerings. And in the spring of 2025, I felt that tug more than usual. I booked a studio space in […]

I get asked this question all the time—do you ever offer mini sessions? Christmas pop-ups? Santa photos? And the answer is… not really. Every now and then—maybe once or twice a year—I’ll host a very limited offering, usually at a studio I know and love or outdoors at a quiet Christmas tree farm. But as […]

In the fall of 2024, I had the privilege of witnessing something truly beautiful—a mama and her two little ones at golden hour, nursing in a vintage clawfoot tub set in a field. Surrounded by fellow photographers, we were united in awe: her posture so natural, her presence so calm, her connection so deep. It […]

Welcoming a photographer into your home for an in-home newborn session is a big deal. Your home is your sanctuary, especially in those early postpartum days. My approach to newborn photography is slow-paced and baby-led, which means I take the time to ensure both you and your baby are comfortable before I ever pick up […]

As a family photographer (and a mom of two young kids), I’ve learned that the best family photo sessions rarely come from perfectly posed moments. They coe from kids being themselves—wiggly, curious, cautious, energetic, silly or slow to warm up. That’s why my sessions are always child-led. It’s also why I do something very different […]

Why it’s so important for motherhood photos to be included in your family collective memory. If you scroll through the photos on your phone right now, what do you see? I cannot begin to thank Jessica for all the time and effort she put into this process. From coming to meet our nervous dog, Watson and figure out our style, to the numerous requests for assistance selecting all of our outfits. Numerous is an understatement. Furthermore, all the wonderful direction Jessica gave us since we were clearly clueless when it came to actually taking pictures and allowing us to include Watson was priceless. We cannot forget the time and effort Jessica put into scouting a location that would yield the best images and then having a backup when we didn’t think one would be needed!

I am beyond fortunate to have been given this opportunity for maternity photos when it wasn’t something I was even considering doing. I am so appreciative of Jessica making me look and feel comfortable during a time when that isn’t exactly what I was reflecting internally. She did this during my maternity session and newborn photos.
