I’m a lifestyle newborn photographer based in Lilburn, GA and my goal is simple: to create gentle, meaningful portraits that reflect your baby as they are, in this season—sleepy, squishy, alert, cuddly or even cluster-feeding every five minutes.
Every baby is different, and a baby-led newborn session allows room for that. It means we follow your baby’s cues—not a rigid shot list or posing checklist—and that flexibility makes all the difference.
It means we won’t force your baby into a pose they don’t want to be in. We won’t rush them through sleepy shots if they need to pause and feed. We don’t make a baby do anything—and we certainly don’t expect parents to, either.
A baby-led newborn photo session is responsive. If your baby is calm and sleepy, we’ll lean into that window for those soft, swaddled portraits. If they wake up and just want to be held, we pivot—no pressure, no panic. It’s slow, intentional, and grounded in respect for your child and for you as their parent.
I always bring a few things from my styling collection to create at least one or two prop-oriented setups—soft swaddles, neutral backdrops, cozy textures. Most babies tolerate one or two of these looks, especially if they’re well-fed and comfortable.
But not every baby wants their hands posed under their chin. Not every baby loves to be wrapped. Some need a little extra time (which I can almost always work with if they’re not hungry or gassy), and some just need to stay on mom or dad’s chest the entire time—and that’s okay.
That’s the beauty of this style of newborn photography. It’s meant to honor what’s real in this season of life, not force something that doesn’t fit.
This is your child, and your comfort always comes first. If your baby is fussy or unsettled and you’d prefer not to try a second swaddled look or move them off your chest—great. That’s your decision, and I’ll fully support it. On the flip side, if you’re open to giving something a try for 10–15 minutes, I’ve got lots of gentle techniques and a calm, slow-paced approach that works beautifully more often than not.
But either way, the session is never about checking off boxes—it’s about honoring your baby and your family’s experience in a way that feels true, safe and meaningful.

Maybe it’s a gallery full of snuggles on the couch, milk-drunk stretches, and the quiet rhythm of feeding. Maybe your baby will let me guide them into those sleepy poses we all love. Often, it’s a mix of both. No matter what, the result will be beautiful—not because it’s curated or styled to perfection, but because it’s yours.
And sometimes, it’s the smallest details that carry the most meaning — like a pair of well-loved baby boots and a tiny cowboy hat once worn by Dad, now tucked beside his newborn son. Thoughtful touches like these are more than props — they’re threads that tie generations together. If you have something special you’d love to include, I’ll always do my best to honor it.
