There’s a version of newborn photography that looks beautiful on paper—but feels nearly impossible in real life.
You pack everyone up.
You try to time naps just right.
You walk into a quiet studio and hope your toddler somehow… cooperates.
And if you’re already thinking,“That’s just not going to work for us”—you’re probably right.
Because toddlers don’t do well with pressure, long timelines or being asked to sit still in a new place with a brand new baby they’re still adjusting to.
And honestly? They don’t need to.

Mama, if you have a toddler running around your house like a crazy person, I KNOW the thought of wrangling that wild thing into your car for a drive to a studio for newborn pictures makes you want to sit down and cry.

How do I know? I’ve been there.
I had my son when my daughter was barely 2 years old and having an in-home newborn photographer come to us was a gift. It was the deep breath we needed.
It was an act of self care.

What if Your Newborn Session Worked WITH Your Toddler, Instead of Against Them?
My sessions are done in your home, on your time.
Not because it’s trendy—but because it actually works better.
Your toddler:
We take breaks when we need to. We follow their lead.
We let them warm up instead of jumping straight in.
Because the goal isn’t a perfectly posed sibling photo.
It’s a moment that feels like them.

Because I come to you and because I’m a mom to littles, you have to do very little.
Make sure they know what we’re doing, talk it up, show them my picture. (I love getting on FaceTime as well to see your space, so have your toddler join us!)
Otherwise, we let them be toddlers.

I often will photograph siblings and family first when I do in-home newborn sessions with toddlers involved. After they’re done, they can have a snack, watch their favorite show, read books, go play with grandma (I highly recommend having an extra adult to help if that’s an option to you!)
They’re welcome to come and go as they please, pop in and out, ask me questions.
If your toddler keeps waking the baby during the posed portion, plan your session a couple hours before nap time. They won’t be too grumpy yet and once they’re done, the other parent can put him or her down for a nap.
Play the quiet game.
Play “hide the snack.” This is actually really cute when we tuck a gummy or small cracker in a posed baby look … when a toddler goes to look for it, you get the photo of them gently touching and gazing at their brother or sister. (Only you know they’re really after a Cheddar Bunny!)
There’s a grief that comes with new motherhood if you have a toddler at home, the loss of being able to be fully present for your other littles is hard when you have a new baby.
I always let little ones help me unpack, ask questions. We turn on the baby shusher together or the vibrating pillow. We assemble the lights. They show me their rooms and favorite toys.
I’m there to take newborn photos yes, but I’m also present to make your people feel cared for and comfortable. (And as a mama, littles are my people, so it’s really a joy every time I get to engage with them and make them feel special and seen.)

… because I intentionally designed it to be.
My sessions are untimed and I don’t book anyone before or after your family. We can truly go at your baby’s pace which takes the element of RUSH out of the equation completely. (I feel like I can breathe deeper just typing that.)
I bring everything to you – lights, coordinated sets, a posing table, soothing tools. All you have to do is feed your baby and put them in a clean diaper as I’m arriving, literally.
You don’t need to pack extra outfits, diaper bags, bottles, a breast pump.
You don’t have to remember the Yoto Player and books and toys for brother or sister.
We can gently document your family in the space they’re growing in, in the actual rooms that are holding your new rhythms.
I’m easy going, I’m a mama of two littles, I get this season. So when you welcome me into your home, it’s more than a “newborn session,” it’s a little exhale. A quiet little celebration that you don’t have to plan!

Here’s your sign to reach out to me. They really can be easier and calmer than you think, even with three year old twins, an eight year old daughter, different school drop offs, forgotten homework, barking puppies on the porch and a brand new baby who spits up on your beautiful dress right as I walk in the door.
(Yes, this glowing, gorgeous mother right over here <– that was her morning, the same morning she radiated with laughter and joy as she held her son in his own nursery. Seriously, how beautiful is that!!)
If your growing family already has full hands and busy schedules and you’re adding to the sweet chaos, an in-home newborn photographer may be just what you need in this season of life.
And if you’re looking for newborn photos with toddlers in Atlanta, that’s where I come in. I’d love to help serve your family in this way – you’re welcome to reach out to me here to chat!
